Finca La Senda is a family farm run by Arnoldo Pérez and Maria Eugenia Escobar in the Acatenango region of Guatemala, at an altitude of 1850 m a.s.l.. Thanks to its rich volcanic soil and unique climate, it produces coffees that are among the most sought-after on the specialty coffee market.
The farm’s story is deeply rooted in the work and determination of the Pérez family. Together with other families from the village of Aldea El Socorro, they carefully tend to the cultivation and processing of coffee every day. Although the family tradition goes back generations, 2017 marked a fundamental step toward specialty coffee – the farm began fully developing innovations and experiments.
Finca La Senda is a place where family tradition intertwines with respect for nature and modern processing methods. From the very beginning, the Pérez family has emphasized sustainability and responsible farming – every step, from cultivation to coffee processing, is carefully considered with regard to the environment and the community.
A key milestone was the introduction of controlled fermentation processes and the use of specialized yeasts, which raised the quality of their coffee to an international level. Thanks to these practices, Finca La Senda has become a recognized producer of varieties such as Typica, Bourbon, Caturra, Pache, Pacamara and Geisha.
Finca La Senda represents a combination of family passion, natural wealth, and modern practices, which together create an unforgettable coffee experience.
